In 2017, Latham’s London lawyers provided 15,300 hours of pro bono work to disadvantaged and vulnerable people in the UK, working with a number of organisations, including Cancer Research UK, Citizens Advice Bureau, and TrustLaw. Latham supported Amnesty International and Save the Children on a high-profile project that is shaping refugee law and policy in the UK.

The project was triggered following the UK’s decision not to opt into the EU Directive on Family Union. The project worked on securing a change in UK law that would give unaccompanied children the right to be joined by their parents and siblings.
