Vida Simpeh

Vida is a criminal defence barrister who exhibits strong legal and client skills. She successfully appealed against the conviction of her client on the grounds that the judge’s behaviour was such that the defendant could not receive a fair trial, this led to her client’s conviction being overturned and his record being expunged.

As founder of Inspiring Youth Achievement, a charity which supports young people, she works with local colleges and schools and has recently launched her charity in Ghana supporting the education of young people in orphanages. She regularly mentors young people interested in pursuing a career in law, assisting them with securing work experience, applying to University and for scholarships and delivers talks to students.

She is also a patron of Bruce Grove Youth Club and is currently supporting the Tanesha Melbourne Foundation, set up by the young people of Tottenham following the fatal shooting of Tanesha Melbourne.
