Vanessa Harvey

Vanessa exemplifies a diversity champion. She has used her position to help establish BAME networks in several city law firms, where she has played a pivotal role in managing events, facilitating the discussion of diversity in the legal profession and promoting career development for diverse lawyers. Vanessa is a very passionate advocate of equality and she has taken steps to help level the playing field, by working closely with a number of diversity organisations.

Vanessa personally mentors up to 5 BAME law students a year, providing advice on CVs, training contract applications and assisting with interview preparation, to help increase the chance of her mentees commencing a career in law. As a parent, she feels strongly about creating a better future for her children and for others, where candidates of diverse backgrounds will become more visible in the upper echelons of the legal profession.
