Ofei Kwafo-Akoto

Ofei is a champion for D&I and passionate about increasing diversity within the legal profession specifically. As one of the founding members of BSN’s Junior Lawyers Group (“JLG”) Ofei has chaired numerous sessions to help connect junior lawyers across the sector and provide a forum for support, inspiration and guidance for the profession’s future black leaders.

In his role as Senior Legal Counsel at GLP, Ofei has promoted the case for increased diversity within the business (including the Legal & Compliance Team) and the wider Real Estate / Investment Management industry through various initiatives such as internships for black students, formulating the business’s approach to D&I and championing diversity amongst GLP’s law firms as part of a 2021 panel review.

In his personal capacity, Ofei mentors a number of black students and junior lawyers and actively participates in industry-wide D&I initiatives through moderating and hosting panel sessions.
