Kem Ihenacho

Kem is the global chair of Latham & Watkins’ Diversity Leadership Committee (DLC). Kem and the DLC lead Latham’s global diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) strategy and initiatives, strengthening and promoting the firm as a workplace where lawyers from all groups, including those traditionally underrepresented in the legal industry, excel and find opportunities and support to fulfil their potential and become leaders. Additionally, Kem is a senior advisor to Latham’s Black Lawyers Group (BLG).

Kem is also the Global Vice Chair of Latham’s Private Equity Practice. He is an M&A lawyer with more than 20 years of experience, focusing on complex cross-border private equity, infrastructure, and M&A transactions. Under Kem’s leadership in 2020 the PE team increased the UK PE deal value they advised on by 137%, and deal volume by 61% year-on-year. Bloomberg ranked Latham #1 for their European Private Equity by deal value.
