In a time of adversity, Accenture Legal has demonstrated its commitment to increase the representation of diverse young people in the industry. Accenture Legal has continued to build on the high impact internship programme started in 2012. It has: increased the number of interns across different diversity dimensions; added mentoring and networking elements; created a new technology and law internship and fellowship programme; increased its partnerships with law firms; evolved the experience; and recruited Legal Leadership to actively engage with our interns.

Accenture Legal has also developed a best practices playbook to ensure that its interns get visibility of legal careers in-house and in law firms; and take part in case studies to build legal, leadership and job application skills. Accenture’s legal interns emerge with relevant experience, differentiated skills and the confidence to position themselves for technology-enabled legal careers. This reflects in the number of interns who have gone on to gain career opportunities, including training contracts.
