Barry Matthews

Barry trained and qualified at Hogan Lovells. He then joined ITV and has held various management roles, latterly as Director of Legal Affairs and Third Party Sales with General Counsel responsibility for two divisional legal teams, advertising content compliance and ITV’s sales agency relationships with broadcasters and platforms domestically and abroad. He was also responsible for Legal Operations including Vendor Management, Process Efficiency and Continuous Improvement and Learning and Development (including the ITV Trainee Scheme and the first UK inhouse Solicitor Apprentice Scheme founded by Barry in 2004 and 2016 respectively).
Barry recently became the Chief Executive Officer of LexJam Consulting (LJC). LJC was founded in 2019 with a single mission: to bring the combined experience of FTSE 100 GC in-house practice, commercial leadership and international private practice to the world of New Law for the first time.
Barry is also a Non-executive Director of the Solicitors Regulation Authority of the Social Mobility Business Partnership (www.smbp.org.uk) and a Principal Consultant at Overture London.
