The Hogan Lovells Multicultural Network was established in 2012 to increase the firm’s awareness and understanding of issues relating to culture, ethnicity, and faith, encourage employee engagement through Network events, foster a culture of mutual respect and inclusivity, support the firm’s recruitment initiatives relating to the attraction and recruitment of diverse employees, and to support our wider business development by raising awareness and supporting effective engagement with our diverse, global clients.
The Network has an active Steering Committee and members lead on planning events and initiatives. Some of our key activities have included supporting our graduate recruitment team in promoting the firm and attracting ethnically diverse applicants, focusing on business development and collaboration with key and growing business areas within the firm, celebrating difference by raising awareness of religious and cultural holidays, and hosting events in collaboration with community organisations.
As a result of the work, the network has positively influenced recruitment statistics, highlighted a range of religious and cultural holidays within the firm, and received excellent feedback and engagement with its events from both internal and external attendees.
